The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has thrown shades at former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi, over his latest defection to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).
NPO Reported that Obi had on Sunday dumped the African Democratic Congress (ADC) barely six months after joining the party.
The 2023 Labour Party Presidential candidate would alongside former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, joined the NDC following their defection.
With the development marking his fifth in his political career, critics have been taunting Obi over the move with some warning of consequence in his performance at the poll in 2027.
Also reacting was Wike who in his monthly media parley on Wednesday trolled Obi.
The FCT Minister who highlighted the history Obi’s defections slammed the former Anambra governor over inability to act as a leader and curtail the challenges facing the parties.
“Obi was in APGA. He couldn’t build APGA. What is called leadership?
“Leadership is for you to stand up to challenges and see how you settle those crises.
“He left APGA and came to PDP. He ran away saying someone is dominating everything.
“He went to Labour. Labour had crisis, he couldn’t use his leadership skills and prowess to put Labour together. He ran away again from Labour and went to ADC.
“Now ADC had problem. ‘Oh I don’t know what is happening there.’ He ran away from ADC again. You are now in NDC.” He said.
Wike alleged that Obi is only looking for an already established party without any crisis.
“All you are looking for is Food Is Ready, Mama Put. Who will stabilise if you cannot stay and stabilise?
“Why are people not running away from PDP when all the giants with the huge allocation they had stood firm.” He added.
