The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dropped the list of winners of the Lagos Assembly Primaries ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
This was contained in a letter signed by Chairman of the Party, Cornelius Ojelabi.
Attached to the letter is the official list of all the candidates who emerged winner of the primaries held last week across the state.
According to report, the outcome of the just-concluded party primaries produced major political shifts within the Assembly, as several ranking lawmakers and principal officers failed to secure return tickets.
Among the top lawmakers who lost out are the Majority Leader, Hon. Noheem Adams Eti- osa 1, Chief Whip, Hon. Fatai Mojeed, and Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Setonji David.
Also missing from the list are notable lawmakers including actor-turned-politician, Hon. Desmond Elliot of Surulere Constituency 1, Gbolahan Ogunleye of Ikorodu Constituency 1, Lanre Afini of Lagos Island 1, Stephen Ogundipe of Oshodi/Isolo 1.
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, was also dealt a huge as the aspirants he endorsed in both Agege One and Agege Two lost their bids during the primaries.
In their stead, Gbenga Abiola Agbelebu emerged victorious in Agege One, while Sule Shakiru Akindele clinched the APC ticket for Agege Two.
Meanwhile, fresh faces expected in the 11th Lagos State House of Assembly under the APC include Bakare-Odunuga Barakat for Surulere One, Mayowa- Alakija For Oshodi- Isolo 1, Ayinde-Marshall Damilola for Surulere Two, Lawal Adeseyi for Ikeja Two, and Saad Lukmon Olumoh for Ajeromi-Ifelodun One.
Others include Sabur Akanbi Oluwa for Ajeromi-Ifelodun Two, Lara Olumegbon-Lawal for Lagos Island One, Kehinde Joseph for Alimosho Two, Sanni Okanlawon for Kosofe One, and Joseph Gbenu for Badagry One.
