Gives Reasons for Their Uses

A pharmacist has explained the different types of condoms available, highlighting their features, uses, and the importance of choosing the right option to ensure effective protection against unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
The pharmacist, identified as Greatman, shared the educational content on X, where he outlined the various types of Durex condoms, explaining their benefits, limitations, and the users they are best suited for.
According to him, the Durex Extra Safe condom is designed for people who want extra peace of mind during intimate moments.
“For people who want maximum peace of mind. This condom is slightly thicker than standard condoms, giving many users an extra sense of security during sex.”
He said it is a great option for first-time users, people who are anxious about condom breakage, and anyone who wants extra confidence without sacrificing protection.
“Although it’s thicker, it still provides good sensation when used correctly.”
He added that it is best suited for first-time users, couples who prioritize protection, and anyone seeking extra reassurance.
Speaking on the Durex Fetherlite Elite, Greatman described it as one of Durex’s thinner condom options, designed for those who prefer a more natural feeling.
“Because the material is thinner, many people feel it allows for greater sensitivity while still offering reliable protection against pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) when used properly.”
He said it is ideal for people who feel regular condoms reduce sensation and for those who want sex to feel as close to natural as possible.
“Being thinner doesn’t mean it is weaker. It still meets strict safety standards.”
He noted that it is best for couples looking for greater sensitivity without giving up protection.
On the Durex Mutual Climax, Greatman said the condom is designed to help both partners enjoy sex for longer.
“This condom has two special features: a small amount of delay lubricant inside to help the man last longer, and a ribbed and dotted texture outside to increase stimulation for the partner.”
He explained that the delay lubricant contains a mild numbing agent that may slightly reduce sensitivity for some men.
“Please note that it is not a treatment for premature ejaculation, but it can help some men delay ejaculation during sex.”
According to him, the condom is best suited for couples where the man wants to last a little longer while increasing stimulation for his partner.
Greatman also highlighted the Durex Pleasure Me, saying it is designed to provide added stimulation.
“This condom is covered with dots and ribs that are designed to increase friction during intercourse.”
He explained that, unlike the Mutual Climax variant, it does not contain delay lubricant because its primary purpose is enhancing physical stimulation rather than prolonging sex.
He added that it is best for couples who want more texture and stronger sensations during intercourse.
On the Durex Select range, the pharmacist said it is intended for people who enjoy variety.
“Why settle for one type when you can try several?”
He explained that the pack contains condoms with different flavours, colours, and textures, making it popular among couples who enjoy experimenting or making oral sex more enjoyable through flavoured condoms.
“Every condom isn’t exactly the same, which keeps things interesting.”
He said it is best suited for couples who enjoy variety, fun, and trying different sensations.
Greatman concluded by reminding the public that no condom is 100 percent effective.
However, he noted that when used correctly and consistently, condoms are highly effective at reducing the risk of unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.
He advised users to always check the expiry date, open the wrapper carefully, use a new condom every time they have sex, and store condoms in a cool, dry place rather than in a wallet for long periods or inside a hot car.
According to him, the best condom is not necessarily the most expensive or the fanciest one.
“It’s the one that fits well, feels comfortable, and is used correctly every single time.”
