Thousands of commuters have been left stranded as heavy floods cut off the Lagos-Ibadan Highway.
The Tuesday morning rainfall which lasted for hours had rendered the road impassable as the flood took over the road.
NPO Reports observed that the traffic gridlock along the Shagamu Interchange stretched across over three kilometres.

The gridlock was further complicated with the diversion of motorists heading from Ibadan to Lagos to the lane of those heading the opposite directions.
Recorded videos of the development showed some truck drivers braving the flood with their vehicles.
Other commuters however stopped on the spot with several vehicles parking alongside the road.
