A Nigerian-British content creator and social media influencer, Ruth Odugbemi, popularly known as Iya Pupa, has queried human rights activist, Adetoun Onajobi (JustAdetoun) over a semi-nude video posted by the activist.
JustAdetoun had on Monday taken to her Instagram handle where she posted the semi-nude video of herself having a shower with newly released song of Nigerian gospel singer, Bisi Manuel, titled Odaju, playing at the background.
The activist, in a caption attached to the clip, said she was praying in the shower as claimed praying naked is the most effective way to pray.
“Sebi una say I be witch I dey use JUJU. oya na see how I pray and see results. make I show una small trick. GO NQKED BEFORE UR CREATURE. SCREAM, SHOUT, CURSE, CRY. ur testimony go be like JUJU
“PRAYER ZONE🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏” She wrote.
JustAdetoun further claimed to be cooling her head while commending Bis Manuel for the song which she described as too spiritually hot.
“HAD TO COOL MY HEAD. this song is tooo SPIRITUALLY HOT. .prayed for hours yesterday after watching the full YouTube explanation session , screaming and crying.🙏🙏 a song that gives u another reason to challenge GOD regardless of how less u have become👍” She said.
Reacting in a video posted on her Instagram handle on Tuesday, Iya Pupa expressed her displeasure with the semi-nude video of the activist as she questioned the motive behind the clip.
“I saw this video on TikTok and I was so embarrassed like what is the meaning of this? The caption says had to cool my head. If you want to cool your head, must you make a video and post it?
“I noticed it was a man, probably your husband, that was recording you. But why did you post this kind of video?” She said.
The UK-based content creator labelled the video as meaningless.
“Even if you are depressed, you don’t need to come out like this. You are almost naked. You are naked, not almost. You are naked in this video.
“What can we call this type of thing. What message are you trying to pass in this video because it is meaningless.” She said.
However, JustAdetoun had since fired back at Iya Pupa and others criticisng her as she post another semi-nude video of herself at a beach while defending the controversial post.
