Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested the self-appointed Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi.
Adeyemi was arrested, according to a breaking news monitored on the TVC, few hours after the Federal High Court in Abuja issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
He had failed to appear in court on Tuesday when he was billed to be arraigned.
However, the police are yet to confirm the arrest of the self-acclaimed DG of the presidential council.
NPO Reported that Adeniyi was arraigned on Tuesday before Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on an eight-count charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025.
Despite the case being listed as number 12 on the court’s cause list, the defendant was absent when the matter was called.
This prompted the court’s order for his arrest.
According to reports, the charges against Adeniyi and two others were filed on November 27, 2025, by police prosecutor, Wisdom Madaki.
Witnesses expected to testify in the case include the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, alongside Paul Emmanuel, Jeremiah Imoukhede and Ituah Sylvester.
Also listed are civil servants from the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, including Akimbo Shola and Adamu Balongu, as well as a Deputy Superintendent of Police.
