A group of aggrieved residents of Edo State has on Thursday staged protest over the deplorable state of the Benin-Agbor Road.
The residents stormed the road, which had been clogged with heavy traffic since Wednesday, as they called out the All Progressives Congress-led administration over the challenge.
Videos shared on X showed the protesters obstructing the road until the arrival of some Edo state government officials sent to address the protesters.
Upon their arrival, one of the officials who was wearing a cap designed with President Bola Tinubu’s ‘broken chain’ insignia was surrounded by the protesters who demanded that the road be fixed, stressing that they don’t want money from the APC.
‘We no want money o. Make una do road for us.
‘We don park our motor since how many months. Everyday we dey go mechanic. APC we don’t want money. Make una do our road for us’ Some of the protesters could be heard in the clip telling the state government officials.
