A lady and her mother have cried out after suspected hoodlums stormed their home in demand for their share from the N1 million gifted to them by Nigerian TikTok sensation and livestreamer, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller.
The duo was reportedly awarded the money during a livestream session with Peller.
In the wake of the incident which went viral, the mother and daughter disclosed that suspected thugs have since been parading their residence with different factions demanding their share from the money.
This had forced the family to leave the house and seek refuge at their church.
The lady in a video recorded from the church and shared on X on Monday night cried for help as she recounted their ordeal.
‘I went out this morning. When I came back, my neighbour told me that area boys have been patrolling our area looking for me because of the money Peller sent to us yesterday.
‘We cannot even sleep at home. Because of one million, they are following me up and down.
‘Those that came to my apartment are not even one. The way they were even talking sef, they didn’t sound like ordinary normal person. They are like all those thugs.
‘Me and my Mom have to go and sleep at our church.’ She said.
Also speaking in the clip was the mother who disclosed that the thugs were demanding different amount of money ranging from N10,000 to N30,000 each.
‘We can’t sleep at home since yesterday. We had to come to the church.
