Nigerian businessman and journalist, Dele Momodu, has warned the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, of getting dumped by the All Progressives Congress administration after the 2027 General Election.
Momodu gave the warning in a post shared on his Instagram handle on Tuesday in reaction to Wike’s claim of an alleged plot by the APC’s kitchen cabinet to unseat him after the election.
The Ovation Magazine’s publisher reiterated that the ruling party would dumb the national leader of the factional Peoples Democratic Party as he cited the case of former Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
‘We warned you ooo… APC is use and dump o; and you’re not even a Lagosian… Ask NASIR EL RUFAI.’ Momodu wrote.
Prior to the post, the publisher shared a video of the APC Governors’ Forum declaring that the forum’s support will be strictly for the party’s candidate.
Addressing newsmen after a close-door meeting, the forum’s chairman and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, disclosed that the governors have resolved not to support any alliance or political arrangement capable of undermining President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
‘That each member will not participate in support or endorse any alliance or political arrangement capable of undermining the re-election of Mr. President, weakening the APC or adversely affecting any candidate of the party at all levels.
‘In other words, the forum has no intention to support any candidate at any level that is not an APC candidate because the election and our candidates are standing as being sponsored by our father.’ He said.
Uzodinma reiterated that the forum and its campaign committee are exclusively behind only APC candidates.
‘The Governors Campaign Committee is exculsively to all the APC candidates. No arrangement that creates confusion, divided loyalty, or conflicting interests within the party will be entertained.
‘Integrated and locally responsive campaign structure, all levels of the party’s campaign structure will align with the dictates of Mr. President.’ The Imo governor said.
Momodu, in reaction, claimed that the APC governors’ statement was in response to Wike’s rainbow coalition in Rivers State where his PDP faction sought to work with the APC chapter in the state for the 2027 election.
