The candidate of the Social Democratic Party for the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election, Segun Oni has accused the All Progressive Congress of being behind all alleged fake news promoting the false withdrawal from the race.
A letter purportedly signed by Oni, had alleged that Oni had withdrawn from the race late night Friday.
Moses Jolayemi, head of the media campaign council for Oni, told NPO Reports, the signature on the said latter is fake.
“That is not his signature,” Jolayemi said early Saturday morning.
He said the APC had reached the end of its wits over the candidature of Oni adding that explains the series of attempts to confuse the voters.
“Having reached their wits end, APC came out with a fake letter that Oni has withdrawn. For who? Have you ever seen a winner withdrawing for a loser? Ekiti people have rejected them. Segun Oni is fully in the race and set for victory. Their greatest nightmare is here,” he said
He said today’s victory for Oni would end all what he described as “insanity” of the APC.
He stated, “The fake letter being circulated by Ekiti APC and its gang of looters is their latest display of insanity. It is unlikely they will be cured of that insanity. The final rally of SDP was held Thursday and both APC and PDP were confounded.
“Honestly, the tone and texture of APC’s fake letter is their certificate of insanity. Ekiti people are already on the queue to vote SDP. The day of reckoning is here. Voters are ready for the looters!”
