Actor Kenneth Okonkwo Resigns From APC Over Muslim-Muslim Presidential Team

Nigerian actor Dr. Kenneth Okonkwo has resigned his membership of the All Progressive Congress.
His letter of resignation addressed to the Chairman Nkpunano Ward, Nsukka, reminded the party that he joined the party when he saw it as a vehicle to fight against injustice.
The actor stated that things have degenerated in the country badly adding that he could no longer be part of what he cannot defend.
“Those ideals are now alien to the APC with their unfortunate decision to paint our Muslim brothers in bad light by insinuating that the Muslims in Nigeria will not accept to vote for a Northern Christian as Vice President to pair with Southern Muslim,” he stated in his letter.
Since Tinubu announced his running mate Kashim Shetima, there have been arguments over the correctness of his action.
