National Security Adviser, Babagana Mungono has said that Nigeria is now in a very difficult situation with its growing insecurity.
Mungono, while speaking after a meeting of security chiefs with President Muhammadu Buhari, said the situation is making many to seek help in some other ways.
“We are in very difficult situation,” Mongunno told reporters.
He said the job of securing the country does not lie with the security agencies alone adding that “truth is that help is rooted in everyone working for another person.”
He said President Buhari made it clear to the security chiefs that the fear of insecurity in the country is making the citizens to be uncomfortable with the administration.
He said the security chiefs have made it known to the President that there will be a new lease in their approach.
“They have given their words and commitment to the President that there will be a change in momentum regardless of the fact that there might be certain institutional limitations which they face,” Mungono stated
