Police Arrest Anambra Council Chairman Over Wife’s Death

The police in Anambra State have arrested the chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Mr Mbazulike Iloka, over the death of his wife, Chidiebere.
Governor Charles Soludo had earlier ordered the suspension of Iloka over the same issues just as it was suspected that the wife died as a result of domestic violence.
The Anambra State police spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest saying the matter is still under investigation.
He is in our custody now and we urge the members of the public to be patient as the autopsy shall prove the cause of the wife’s death. Meanwhile, investigation is still ongoing please,” Ikenga added.
