Former Political Adviser to former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Bode George Uthman Shodipe has said he prefers not to join issues with his former boss because he is a senior citizen.
Shodipe who had served with George for many years was seen in a new photograph after he decided to shift his allegiance to the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
A chieftain of the APC, and member of the Governors Advisory Council Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi had taken Shodipe to Tinubu after his decision to defect.
Shodipe had been responsible for most of George’s political statements delivering his speeches and making comments.
Many of those comments had been against Tinubu, who is George’s political foe.
George, in a media interview has been quoted to say that he was not surprised by Shodipe’s decision to cross over to Tinubu.
He said his functions had been performed since May this year with no one noticing his absence.
“I will not exchange word with a senior citizen. That is Yoruba culture,” he said on Monday morning.
