After 90 minutes of encounter, Ecuador has defeated host nation, Qatar in the opening match of the World Cup competition which opened today.
The 90 minutes saw the host players being at the lowest form of performance much to the disappointment of
the home fans.
The second half began on a note of aggression by the Qatari team but the team soon lost steam as Ecuador too possession again piling pressure on Qatar.
At the 55th minute of the match, Ecuador nearly got another goal but for the parrying moves of Qatari goalkeeper Saad.

Host country, Qatar has opened its world up campaign on a poor not.
The team conceded two goals in 45 minutes of the match with Ecuador.
In spite of the cheering crowds, the team ran for possession of ball but was defeated by two goals to nothing at the end of the first half.
An early goal by Ecuador was denied as it was ruled as offside.

Enne Valencia was to score a second goal at the 31st minute as converted a pass into a goal via a header.
At the end of the 45 minutes, Nigerian ex-international JJ Okocha described Qatar’s performance as woeful.
He expressed surprise how a host team would perform so poorly at the opening March.
He said the Qatari team could not even put passes together.
