African country, Cameroon went down before the feet of the Swiss on Thursday in its opening match which it lost by one goal. BBC reports that Since François Omam-Biyik scored in a 1-0 victory over Argentina in the opening game of the 1990 World Cup, Cameroon (Won zero, drawn three, lost three) have failed to win any of their opening World Cup matches.
According to Washington Post, Cameroon has lost seven consecutive World Cup matches, dating back to 2002. It’s starting to run out of time to avoid an eighth straight loss here against Switzerland.
