Former Director of Civil Society in the Presidential Campaign Council of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Naj’atu Muhammad who recently resigned her membership of the party said that, she left the party because she discovered that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC),Bola Tinubu is incapable to lead the country.
According to her while appearing on Arise TV News on Thursday morning show, the former Senator said Tinubu has “an emperor mentality” and cares little about the country but himself.
She said the APC candidate only seeks “to hold the knife that will cut the pie” and “material and psychological control of the people of the country”.
She said: “I left APC because Tinubu is incapable. Everything about Tinubu is about himself. When he wanted to contest, he said it is his turn. He wants to hold the knife that will cut the pie. It is not about the country but him,” the former senator said.
“It is all about his ego and control. He is about the material and psychological control of the people of the country, particularly the south-west.
“I have heard him say that when he sleeps, the south-west sleeps. That is his mentality. It is like an emperor mentality.”
Naja’atu further disclosed that Tinubu pleaded with her before she could accept to be in his presidential campaign council.
She added that she was invited to London by Tinubu and during their conversation she asked what does Tibubu has to tackle insecurity in the Northern part of the country.

She, however quoted Tinubu as saying that he had no blueprint for tackling insecurity in the North during a meeting in London.
She said: ‘I met with Tinubu in the London and he told me “I don’t have a blueprint for tackling insecurity in the North; if I have I might be killed.
“Having a blueprint for tackling insecurity in the North would mean I will be stepping on so many toes.
“He has been urging me to take the appointment and I refused not until when he begged me with the name of Allah. I accepted the offer because I don’t want to be arrogant.”
Speaking further on why she pitched her tent with the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, hours after dumping Tinubu, Naja’atu said she is choosing between “a devil and the deep blue sea”
“I am not doing Atiku today for anything. I gave my reasons, and my reasons I said, Peter Obi is a movement, I said that. And I also said this is the first time the Nigerian youths have a voice and are coming together to form some kind of movement; it is not even about Peter Obi. This movement will outlive Mr Peter Obi. What I said is that they have a structural problem.
“I will give you an example; Buhari, since 2003, was getting 15 million votes, but he could not be president. Why? Despite the cult followership the North gave to Buhari, why didn’t he win? He did not win because he had structural problems and could not build bridges. It took the alliance, which he had rejected severally with the Southwest in particular, that he was able to become president; that is the only reason. And what I will also say is this, I have no luxury of time; there is no luxury of time, and that is why I said I am choosing between a devil and a deep blue sea.”
The former senator had recently announced her resignation from the APC.
She was then spotted with Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and publicly pledged her support for him.
Following the move, the APC presidential campaign council accused her of being a mole, saying that she had been sacked from the party before her resignation.
