The University of Ilorin on Monday said it has assigned 500 user accounts of 300-capacity zoom licences to its various Faculties and Departments for the immediate commencement of virtual classes.
According to a statement released to the media by the University’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, the institution said that the virtual classes were in line with the promise earlier made by the management of the school to mitigate the current challenges over the shortage of busses.
Recall that the management of the school had last appealed to students over the challenges facing them as a result of transportation issues.
The management rolled out several measures to mitigate the effect of the unfortunate situation on the students in particular.
These included the directive to the Time-table and Room Usages Committee to adjust lecture time-table to make it more flexible.
Announcing the commencement of virtual classes, the management added that the virtual classes would run simultaneously with physical classes.
“About 500 user accounts of 300 capacity zoom licences have been assigned to Faculties and Departments for effective virtual delivery of lectures.
