Singer, David Adeleke (popularly called Davido) has expressed hopes that the Supreme Court will do the right thing in the judgment coming up on Tuesday in the appeal by former Governor Gboyega Oyetola against his Uncle Ademola Adeleke.
NPO Reported earlier today that the Supreme Court had fixed Tuesday May 9 as the day to deliver judgment after hearing both parties.
“Osun State Election Petition hearing comes up at the Supreme Court today.
“We look forward to the judicial affirmation of Adeleke (The people’s) mandate.
“The hardest part is done, winning a free and fair Election. May God let the court do the right thing,” Davido stated in his verified twitter handle on Monday.
The election petition tribunal has ruled in favour of Oyetola.
However, the court of appeal set aside the judgement declaring Adeleke Winner of the election.
After setting aside the judgment of the tribunal, the appeal court, had awarded N500,000 cost against the All Progressive Congress, APC, and its candidate, Gboyega Oyetola. The judgment was delivered by Justice Mohammed Lawal. There is tension in the state as supporters of both parties wait with bated breath what comes out of the apex on Tuesday.
