Three Days After 80th Birthday, Nigeria’s Sports Journalism Legend Fabio Lanipekun Dies

Three days after he was celebrated for his 80th birthday, legendary sports journalist Mr. Fabio Lanipekun died on Sunday.
Details of the death of the ace sports commentator were still sketchy at press time, it was learnt that Lanipekun died in his residence at Magodo area of Lagos.
Many Nigerian journalists most of them sports had celebrated Lanipekun on Thursday.
NPO Reports however learnt that Lanipekun was not in very good shape during the brief event to mark his 80th birthday.
He was said to have been helped to sit while he was hard in hearing anything from those present.
