President Bola Tinubu has on Monday confirmed the appointment of the outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff.
He also named former Governor of Benue state, George Akume as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
In a statement made available to the NPO Reports Friday afternoon, the President also named a former deputy governor of Jigawa State, Hassan Hadejia as deputy chief of staff.
The statement signed by Biodun Oladunjoye Director of Information at the Presidency said the decision was announced at a meeting with Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) by the President.
There have been speculations over the appointment of Gbajabiamila.
On Thursday NPO Reported that The Speaker had been appointed but added that it had not been made official.
Speaking with newsmen him self Gbajabiamila had said Nigerians should wait for the process to be concluded formally.
