Two books written by political gladiators have been listed to be read by students at a reading session to be hosted by The Wings School, an education institution located in Iwo, Osun State. The books are My Participation by former Governor Bisi Akande and Clapping With One Hand by Mr. Olawale Oshun. Mr. Oshun is a chieftain of the Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afeniefere. The school, in. a statement made available to the founder of the institution, Prof Lai Olurode, announced that it will conduct the reading and understanding program on Democracy Day, June 12.
According to the statement, “this is aimed at promoting a platform for political education about the significance of political freedom amongst youths and also to enhance the reading culture.”
According to the statement, the lead reader is the Librarian of the Federal College of Education, Iwo, Mrs. Funlayo Deborah Iyanda and it will be chaired by Olori Iyabo Lamuye.
It was also stated that prizes will be awarded to the best student readers.
The Wings school is one of the leading schools in Iwo, Osun state. It was established on the 20th of October, 2010 and has a landmark of achievements within 12 years.
