Another nominee for ministerial position Bello Mohammed Goronyo, has been ordered by the Senate to produce any other certificate that shows he passed his school certificate. Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, made the order after the nominee was asked which other certificate he has apart from the one where he passed only two subjects out of five subjects he registered for.
Trouble started for the nominee when a member of the Upper chamber asked him how he gained admission to the university with two credit passes in his school certificate results.
The Goronyo had responded to the question by saying that he has another school certificate results which he did not border to attach. He said the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria only requires him for a certificate of secondary school and not his results.
This had made the Senate President to ask whether he was at the senate for screening to become a minister or he was at the senate to contest an election. The senate president thereafter said the nominee must come back to the senate and drop the certificate which shows he had passed the school certificate level with good results with the Clerk of the senate.
