Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, on Wednesday asked Nigerians to demand for meetings with their representatives at the National Assembly over the proposed exotic cars which will cost about N110bn.
Speaking in Ikeja, Lagos state during the protesters by the organised Labour, Falana said representatives of Nigerians must be tasked to make sacrifices before they task Nigerians to their deaths.
“N70bn added to N30bn for the acquisition of exotic cars, that is N110bn. if you divide N110bn by 360 federal constituencies, N305m will go to every constituency. We are therefore asking the National Assembly if they want to make sacrifice on behalf of Nigerian people, put that money in an account so that you constituents can have N305m per constituency,” he said. Adding that his proposal must start with Lagos state, Falana said, “When we go back, we must insist on a meeting of constituents and make your demands,”
