The leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress on Thursday blocked the exit and entrance into the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja as part of registering grievances against the government over the attacks on its President Joe Ajaero.
Ajaero was last week attacked in Owerri the Imo state capital when he was there to mobilise support for a protest against the government of Governor Hope Uzodinma.
As at the time of filing this report, there was commotion in the vicinity of the airport as hundreds either seeking to go out or coming are stranded.
On the X handle of the NLC, the Congress had posted, “Bring Hopeless Hope of Imo state to book now,” referring to the Governor of Imo who has remained a target of attacks since Owerri incident where Ajaero was brutalized.
