The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the ongoing governorship election in Kogi state, Dino Melaye has accused the ruling All Progressive Congress of manipulating the exercise in the Ogori Magongo area of the state.
In a short video posted by Melaye on his X handle Saturday morning, the PDP candidate t asked voters to resist and insist on sighting all the relevant voting materials to prevent manipulation.
Melaye said, “The result has been filled and tampered with right now and people are refusing to accredit, people are refusing to vote and they are insisting that plain results sheet be shown to agents according to electoral law.
“If they refuse to show you results sheet in all polling unit across the state don’t accredit, don’t vote, protest and resist,” he told his supporters.
Saying it is the right of the people to resist, he said “this is democracy, we must protect our vote. We must protect the process, we must make sure that all the regulation are being observed and respected.”
He called on all agents across the state that once all results are not shown to them before the commencement of the accreditation, “don’t accredit, don’t vote.”
