The size of delegation from Nigeria attending this year’s Climate change summit in Dubai, the United Arabs Emirate, is raising dust.
Reports have it that there are a total of 1,411 participants from Nigeria alone that have registered to be part of the summit tagged COP28.
However, of the 1,411 delegates, only 138 are said to be from the presidency and on the entourage of President Bola Tinubu, who leads the Nigerian delegation.
According to Statisense, a data group providing data on major current issues, Nigeria has 1,411 delegates at the summit. Statisense gave the breakdown of the participants and the organisations they represent as follows:
