Former Governor of Kaduna state Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, has visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday.
The former Governor visited Obasanjo at his Abeokuta Ogun state home as shown in some photos shared by him via his C handle.
According to him, he was in Abeokuta to greet his former boss who he said also hosted him and his friend to a sumptuous reception.
“Earlier today, I visited my boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo welcomed me and my friends his Abeokuta home.
We were hosted to a sumptuous lunch by Mrs. Obasanjo for which we are very grateful. Back to base for Christmas in sha Allah. “ he wrote
El-Rufai had initially served as the Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) which supervised the sale of many national assets under the Obasanjo administration.
He was later appointed Minister of the FCT.
El-Rufai has played a pivotal role in the election of President Bola Tinubu who had vowed to make him serve in his administration.
However things took another turn after el—Rufai was nominated as a ministerial candidate but was never screened by the senate
His nomination was said to have been rejected over some security reports by the Directorate of State Security.
