The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu has died.
Reports had it that Akeredolu reportedly died in the early hours of Wednesday at a German hospital.
NPO Reports that Akeredolu two weeks ago transferred power to his deputy, Lucky Ayedatiwa after a protracted dispute who governs the state in the absence of the governor.
As at the time of filing this report, there was no official confirmation of the death of the Governor.

An appointee of the Governor contacted by the NPO Reports said the development was not confirmed yet.
The aides who said the news had reached the acting Governor who is holidaying in his hometown.
Media personality, Kemi Olunloyo said wrote about Akeredolu saying “Rest in Paradise Governor Rotimi Akeredolu. He was once my Nigerian lawyer before he became a politician and a close family friend.Absolutely incredible man.
May God comfort Betty, the children and the whole family and people of Ondo state. He died from Leukemia a form of cancer in the blood forming tissues. “
