President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will speak to Nigerians on Monday, the New Year day.
A statement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media stated this saying the address is slated to hold at 7am on Monday.
It is expected to be the President’s first New Year day address since assuming office in May this year.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will make a New Year’s Day broadcast to the nation on Monday, January 1, 2024, at 7 am.
“Television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigeria Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the broadcast,” the aide said.
Analysts believe Tinubu is expected to address issues bordering on the economy and insecurity, two major issues that have put his government under pressure.
Just this week, more than 190 people were massacred in Plateau communities raising fears of continued terrorism in the country.
Also the economic outlook is giving analysts concerns with many of the new policies of the government yet to bring the expected results.
