The Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programme Agency, Ms Halimah Shehu has been suspended.
Her tenure in office is to be investigated over allegations of diversion and maladministration.
Shehu is just about three months in office.
The agency is responsible for the management of poverty alleviating programs like N-Power and Conditional Cash Transfer.
The agency has come under scrutiny in recent times, with concerns raised about efficiency and effectiveness.
Shehu was appointed by President Tinubu in October 2023, and her appointment was confirmed by the Senate on October 18, 2023.
She worked as the National Coordinator of the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, where she used her banking and career expertise to see to the digitalisation of the programme.
The presidency has directed that the affairs of the agency is temporarily supervised by the coordinator of the N-Power programme, Dr. Akindele Egbulawo
