Protesting and angry women have set ablaze the private residence of the District Head of Bokkos community, one of the communities where killings took place on the Christmas Eve in Plateau state.
The residence of the Head, whose name was given as Michal Monday Adanchi, was razed as the women to the streets beginning their protests from the police station in the village.
It was gathered that through the women had started gathering from 10:30am perfecting their plans, the burning of the house took place around 12:30am.
It was gathered that the women were angered by the arrest of some members of the community for their alleged involvement in the recent killings in the area.
“The incident began at the police station where they expressed their anger over the arrest of some members of the community. After leaving the police station, they proceeded to the house of the traditional ruler, protesting that he was a sellout.
A few minutes after reaching the house, they set it ablaze,” the source said.
