United Kingdom’s Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, has condemned Iran’s missile attack on Israel.
Reacting to the incident, Starmer, in his address on Tuesday, frowned against Iranian regime’s attempt to harm innocent Israelis following their launch of 200 ballistic missiles.
“In the last few hours, the Iranian regime has launched over 200 ballistic missiles on civilian targets in Israel.
He warned Iran of possible escalation of the Middle East crisis and push the region closer to the brink.
“It’s too soon to assess the impact fully. But I utterly condemned this attempt by the Iranian regime to harm innocent Israelis, to escalate this incredibly dangerous situation and push the region ever closer to the brink.” Starmer said.
The Prime Minister, however, drummed support for Israel while charging Iran to stop the attack.
“It cannot be tolerated. We stand with Israel and we recognize her right to self-defense in the face of this aggression. Iran must stop these attacks together with its proxies like Hezbollah.” He continued.
Starmer further accused Iran of past unrest in the region which had often implicated others.
“Iran has menaced the middle east for far too long. Chaos and destruction brought not just to Israel but to those they live amongst in Lebanon and beyond.
“Make no mistake, Britain stand four square against such violence. We support Israel’s reasonable demand for the security of its people.” The Prime Minister added.
