Unidentified PDP Loyalist’s Voice Note Causes Stir in Osun
- Safiu Kehinde
An unidentified loyalist of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has caused stir after revealing plot to bomb Osun state’s Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) office, killing the Resident Electoral Commissioner and the Deputy Inspector General of Police amongst others.
This was contained in a leaked voice note intended for Osun PDP stakeholders.
Reacting to the conduct of the just concluded Edo governorship election where the All Progressive Congress’ (APC) candidate, Monday Okpebholo, emerged winner, the unidentified loyalist had accused APC of influencing the election results while warning against the replica of same in PDP-ruled Osun state.
“Except if there is a bloodshed, APC will keep riding PDP and we will only be making futile complaints and press conference.
“They have disrupted everything. Don’t let me deceive you, they don’t care. They have been planning for Obaseki for a long time, appointing Wike’s cousin as REC in Edo state.
He proceeded to suggest, in the voice note recorded in Yoruba language, the bombing of INEC office during the state level collation of results as the best way to prevent the Osun PDP from suffering the same fate as Edo- a suggestion he claimed to have also proposed in 2018.
“Here is my own suggestion which we tried to do in 2018 but was rejected by Dr. Deji, Iya Dupe, and governor. Inside that INEC state collation centre, anybody who is going to die will die.
“Look at Ukraine and Russia, everyone knew Russia cheated Ukraine, but who can stop Russia?
“As you have noticed that election has been rigged, get two helicopters and bomb INEC office. If the REC is proving stubborn he can’t be stubborn in the face of bombs and rockets because this is how they will do in Osun that we will keep crying.
“Now that Kekere-Ekun is the Supreme Court Justice, there is nothing you will be able to do.” He said.
The unidentified loyalist further painted the aftermath of the incident which he claimed will include the news reports of the REC, DIG, and AIG’s death alongside over 50 innocent souls.
He also predicted United Nation’s intervention and eventual declaration of the election as inconclusive.
“We don’t have the power, but the best bet for us is to get the two helicopters will be positioned about a kilometer away from the targeted spot and launch the bombs.
“After the attack, breaking news will fly around reporting the death of the REC, DIG, AIG and about 50 innocent souls.
“The helicopters can enter through Delta and carry out the operation. They won’t know who did it.
“Once they see heaps of dead bodies, they will pend the results and won’t be able to count and declare the winner.
“Afterwards, the United Nations will intervene.
“That’s the best thing to do. You must not let them announce the results because if they do, nothing can be done again- except when the REC and Returning Officer dies, including any presiding officers who betray our trust.
Meanwhile, the loyalist recalled how Obaseki was disgraced following his complaint over the denial of PDP agents access to some ward level results collation centres- a game he claimed will be played in Osun state and allegedly spearheaded by one Suraju (SRJ).
“I was watching Fintiri and Obaseki doing Press Conference. They have upturned the election. And the media boys will report that they did the right thing.
“Whereas, Obaseki complained that PDP Party agents were not allowed in as they were dispersed with tear gas.
“They will play the same game here and it is championed by Suraju (SRJ).
“There was one that Oshiomole and SRJ did yesterday. They chased Obaseki. It was the DIG, Frank Uba, that approached Obaseki.
“The REC did not make effort to see him. DIG pleaded with him to leave that they will resolve the issue. They only lied. There is nothing to resolve. ” He added.
