Days after the death of his daughter, Fatima, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Chief Executive Officer, Melee Kyari, has broken silence over her demise.
Kyari, on Tuesday, took to his X handle to address the death of Fatima.
The NNPC boss submitted that Fatima’s demise was as predestined.
He, however, reflected on Fatima’s lifetime and her impact on people, including him.
“My daughter Fatima departed at her appointed time and looking forward to meeting her in Jannah by Allah’s grace. While the loss is great by all measures, we remain grateful to God for all his mercies. I didn’t know the depth of her connections with many people and what she meant to many.
“Despite her physical challenges, she is able touch hearts in very soothing ways, including me. Above all, her demise brought many people together and demonstrated that we all can care for others irrespective of our social circumstances.” Kyari wrote.
Meanwhile, he expressed his gratitude to all well-wishers and those who stood by his family during the trying times.
“I profoundly thank our leaders, family members, friends, associates, colleagues, our teachers and the countless unmentioned that joined us to pray for the repose of her soul and for consoling us.” Kyari added.
