Victor recounted how he had pleaded with the nurse to proceed with the delivery while he looks for the N8,000 balance.
The nurse wa alleged to have refused to proceed with the delivery until the N8,000 was paid.
Unfortunately the child was said to have choked on water in his mother’s stomach before the delivery.
Despite being place on oxygen, the baby unfortunately passed away, leading to the man’s return to the healthcare centre where he made the video.
“This is where my baby died. Gidan Mangoro hospital. This is where they killed my baby. Because of ther incapability, non-challant attitude, and greed for money, they killed my child in this hospital.
“I’ve done everything they asked me to do from day one. This is where I’ve been doing ante-natal. I’ve not owed them five Naira.
“They asked me to do everything. I brought my wife to this hospital for the delivery. They are asking me to pay money. I told them this is how much I have first. Take it first.
“Because of N8,000. Nurse Rose Timothy, I remember her name, I had to transfer the money before they commence and by then, my baby was already weak.
“Now since yesterday, my baby has been on oxygen. From one hospital to another hospital, this baby has been in oxygen. This is where the whole thing started.
“They killed my child for no reason. I told this nurse ‘continue. How much is N8,000 compared to what I’ve been paying here?’
“The Nurse insisted because of N8,000 Now she cost me not even just the money but my son’s life.
“I begged this woman yesterday. Because of N8,000, this woman refused to save my child’s life.
“Now the child has drank water inside the mother’s belly because of N8,000.” An aggrieved Victor said.
He was accompanied to the centre by his sister who was also seen challenging the staff over the death of the child.
