The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has debunked alleged appointment of chairman for the party’s South West Zone.
This is coming under the heels of a circulated invite announcing the inauguration of the new chairman.
As contained in the invite, the event is slated to hold in Ibadan on the 31st of January with the factional chairman of the Oyo state ADC chapter, Yinka Olona, as the host of the event.
Reacting in a disclaimer issued on Thursday, the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, dismissed the appointment and planned inauguration.
Abdullahi maintained that the party is yet to appoint any South West chairman.
The ADC spokesperson urged members of the public to debunk any information suggesting otherwise.
The statement read; “This is to inform the general public that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has not appointed any South West Chairman.
“Furthermore, the ADC is not inaugurating any South West Chairman at this time.
“The public is therefore advised to take note of this information and exercise caution regarding any claims or activities suggesting otherwise. Thank you.”
