Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke, has joined other teeming well-wishers to celebrate his nephew Nigerian musician, David Adeleke (Davido) as he clocks 32 today.
The governor, in a post to his X handle, expressed heartfelt wishes to Davido, praying for more grace for the OBO crooner.
“Happy birthday to my Darling Nephew @davido, 001 of Afrobeats.
“May God’s grace continue to shine over you as you make the Dynasty, Osun State, Nigeria, and the entire black race proud all over the universe.” Adeleke wrote.
Davido was in November 21, 1992 at Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
His rose to fame in the Nigerian music industry began after the release of his second single Dami Duro from his debut album in 2012.
He has ever since maintained the stardom with back to back hits which saw him several awards such as BET, MTV, AFRIMA, and Sound City MVP Awards amongst others.
He was also nominated for 2024 Grammy Awards for Best Global Performance with ‘Feel’ and Best African Music Performance with ‘Unavailable’.
NPO reported that he is also among the nominees for the 2025 Grammy Awards for Best African Music Performance with ‘Sensational’.
