Senator Ademola Adeleke has been sworn in as the new Governor of Osun, South-West Nigeria. He was sworn in by the State Chief Judge, Justice Adepele Ojo.
Adeleke, in his inaugural speech, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for allowing the will of the electorate in Osun to prevail.
He also announced that the state will now revert to its former Osun State as against “State of Osun” it was Christined before.
He also said the state’s will now be referred to as “State of the Living Spring” as against “State of the Virtuous.”
Present at Sunday’s swearing in are the presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, his running mate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Atiku’s wife, Mrs Titi Abubakar and musician David Adeleke (Davido)
