The Force Headquarters of the Nigerian Police Force on Monday said it has received reports of the breakdown of law in Rivers state.
The police in a message via its X handle, said it has already commenced investigations into the matter.
The terse statement read: “We’re aware of the security situation at the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex.
“The Rivers State Police Command is actively addressing the matter. We’ve launched a comprehensive investigation to uncover the circumstances and will take immediate actions against those responsible.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara had on Monday morning accused the police of compromising after he alleged that he was shot at while water was also poured on him and his entourage as he walked to the House of Assembly to inspect the fire incident that took place on Sunday night.
