Nigerian private-owned airline, Air Peace, has debunked claims of British Government it’s operation into London for seven years.
This was contained in a statement issued by the management of the airline on Thursday.
According to the statement, some media reports had claimed that the airline’s Chairman, Allen Onyema, accused the British government of preventing Air Peace from operating in London.
As against the reports, Air Peace clarified that Onyema never made such allegation.
The Nigerian businessman was rather claimed to have rather praised the British authorities for their cooperation in making Air Peace operations in the UK easy and seamless.
The airline labelled the reports as falsehood with malicious intent to cause disaffection between Air Peace and its hosts, the British people.
Air Peace announced its arraignment towards the airline’s maiden Abuja-London direct flight which will commence on the 26th of October.
The statement read; “Our attention has been drawn to a news story making the rounds that our Chairman/CEO, Allen Onyema, said that the British authorities prevented Air Peace for seven years from operating into London.
“Our CEO never made such a statement accusing the British authorities.
“Instead, he praised and commended the British authorities for their cooperation in making Air Peace operations in the UK easy and seamless.
“This deliberate falsehood is authored and circulated with malicious intent to cause disaffection between Air Peace and its hosts, the British people.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the British authorities have been supportive of Air Peace’s UK operations, and preparations are fully underway for our inaugural Abuja-London service on October 26, 2025.
“Air Peace remains committed to strengthening Nigeria’s presence in global aviation while delivering safe, affordable, and world-class services to the flying public.”
