Airtel Nigeria has officially launched its fifth generation (5G) technology.
This comes one year after MTN Nigeria pioneered the service, followed by Mafab Communications.
According to the Chief Officer at Airtel Nigeria, Femi Oshinlaja, the 5G services will, in the main time, be available in four major cities of Lagos, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Ogun and Rivers states.
MTN, Mafab and Airtel are now offering services of the 5G technology.
The technology promises to deliver super-fast data services and redefine services in other sectors of the economy including medicine, agriculture and others.
