The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has officially written to the State House of Assembly to seek for a 21-day leave for medical treatment abroad.
The leave period commenced on June 7 and is expected to terminate on July, 62023 (public holidays factored in).
This comes many weeks after various speculations over the Governor’s state of health.
For weeks, Akeredolu is said to have been away from office overseeing the affairs of the state from locations not known to many.
NPO Reported earlier that the Governor has travelled to Germany for medical appointments.
His health was said to have deteriorated in recent months with his physical look glaringly showing I’ll-health.
At some point, rumours were rife of the Governor’s demise prompting the State Government to speak out to say he was alive.
