Suspended Kogi lawmaker, Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has accused Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and former governor of the state, Yahaya Bello, of alleged plot to kill her.
Akpoti-Uduaghan made the allegation while speaking at her homecoming rally at Ihime, Okehi local government area of the state on Tuesday.
The embattled lawmaker diclosed how Akpabio had on the 14th of March allegedly invited Yahaya Bello to plot her assassination.
Prior to that, Natasha alleged that the Senate President invited Kogi state governor, Usman Ododo, charging him to process her recall which she claimed the governor said was impossible.
Akpabio would thereafter invite Yahaya Bello who was allegedly picked from Hilton hotel by Senator Asuquo.
She claimed that the duo had planned to stage her assassination in Kogi to create an impression that she was killed by her own people.
“Let me say this now, on the 13th of March at 10:30pm, mind you, two days before that, Akpabio spoke to Governor Ododo to recall me. But he told him it will be impossible because the masses are with her.
“But Akpabio was not satisfied. He then sent for Yahaya Bello. And it was actually Senator Asuquo from Cross Rivers that drove Yahaya Bello from Hilton hotel, I was informed of everything.
“When I got to know, the meeting was in two folds. He told him to commence my recall and that he was going to fund it. Of course money changed hands that night.
“The second thing he told him was that he should try and kill me. I didn’t make this public but I wrote to the IG of Police. And Akpabio told Yahaya Bello that he should make sure killing me does not happen in Abuja that it should be done here so it will seem as if it’s the people that killed me here.
“I didn’t make that public but we did notify the security agencies on that.” Natasha said.
The suspended lawmaker also disclosed how Akpabio allegedly questioned other lawmakers over the transfer of an energy project from the Niger Delta to the North.
She claimed she was removed from the committee of local content on account of the project.
“And he called a number of people in the cabinet, questioned them that how come did the project find it’s way here?
“And in his words he can such resources be moved from the Niger Delta to the North that he will stop it and I will prove to you what he did.
“After the Senate President removed me- by the way, it is because of the five energy project that Akpabio removed me from the Committee of Local Content.” Natasha said.
