Supporters of suspended Kogi lawmaker, Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, have defied the directives of Kogi state government as they awaits Natasha’s arrival.
NPO Reported that the state government had announced the ban ahead of the planned visit by the suspended senator from Kogi Central.
The government in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, disclosed that some unidentified individuals have plotted to stage violent rallies in this guise of political and religious agitation.
As against the ban, Natasha’s teeming supporters assembled at her Ihinma residence for her homecoming rally.
Some of the supporters, as captured in a post shared on X on Tuesday, were seen with placards with different inscriptions.
While some contained welcoming messages in anticipation for the lawmaker’s arrival, others read “This injustice will not be sustained” her last word before leaving the Red Chamber following her suspension.
