National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has again extended its 2023 recruitment exercise over the difficulty in accessing the agency’s portal for Computer Based Test, CBT.
The decision of the agency followed the lamentations by candidates who have been facing serious difficulty in assessing the portal.
Last week, NPO reported that the agency through its spokesperson, Femi Babafemi said the applicants, particularly those in superintendent cadre (Professional and General Duties), would commence their online test on Monday, May 8 till Wednesday, May 10.
On Monday, the agency extended the time allotted to the exercise assessment test by six hours on each day of the exercise.
According to the agency, this would enable candidates grouped in Batch have enough time to go through the process.
However, the portal has been relatively inaccessible to many applicants who were scheduled for the exercise between Monday and Thursday.
Lamenting, one of the applicants, who spoke with NPOReports Correspondent on a condition of anonymity said he was billed to have his exercise on Thursday.
According to him, he was scheduled to take the CBT on Wednesday but could not access the portal.
“I was part of the batch scheduled to take the test on Wednesday, according to the mail we received, our batch was to write the test between 10am on Wednesday to 6am Thursday.
“But all efforts to access the portal proved abortive. Thousands of us could not participate in the exercise despite being awake all night.
“I and several of other applicants have been on this for the last 24 hours all to no avail”.
In its swift reaction to some of the issues raised by candidates, NDLEA through its spokesperson, Femi Babafemi on Thursday said the difficulty was due to heavy traffic on the server.
“The online assessment platform will remain open today Thursday, 11th May, till 6:00 am tomorrow Friday 12th May, to allow applicants in all batches who received an email but were unable to take the test due to technical difficulties to do so.
“To login, please ensure that you enter your ID in this format: NDLEA-SUPT-2023-1234567890. Also use a reliable internet connection,” he said
He, however, assured applicants that the traffic is actively filtering.
“Applicants should kindly refresh their browsers if they encounter time out errors, as a result of the heavy traffic on the server, which it is actively filtering,” he added
