The Labour Party’s Anambra governorship candidate, George Moghalu, has recorded his first taste of defeat as the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) party’s candidate and incumbent governor, Chukwuma Soludo, emerged winner at his polling unit.
NPO earlier Reported that Moghalu had voted at Polling Unit 017, Uruagu Ward 1, Nnewi North Local Government Area.
While commended the seamlessness of the voting process, the Labour Party’s candidate however failed to earn the support of his people.
The result of the polling unit as posted on X revealed that Moghalu only managed to gather 22 votes as against the 57 votes recorded by Soludo.
More results are also underway as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials commenced vote counting at their respective polling units.
