Former presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, Adamu Garba, has taken down the flag of the APC in his office.
His action was obviously in protests against what he described as the lack of hope for the younger generation in the party.
Garba had earlier announced his withdrawal from the APC presidential race two days ago.
He said there is no future for young people in the party.
“We joined APC for the sake of Nigerians, now that all is not looking straight. We believe only Allah is the Guarantor & Grantor of Authority. He never ever gives up on the betterment of humans. Trusting in Him, following His Guide, we bow out of APC in peace. The flag is down.”
However, hours after taking down the APC flag, he has pitched his tent with the Young Progressive Party.
Saying this is where the fate of young people is better, he wrote on Thursday, “YPP means Young Progressives Party, a perfect substitute for Old (All) Progressives Congress. The party is for the progressive young minds, like all of you.”
