Irate students of the Federal University of Technology Akure have on Friday taken to the road in protests against incessant robbery attacks on colleagues.
The students who barricaded the road to Ilesa, said the attacks on students off campus have become a daily occurrence adding that the institutions management must take action.
Responding to the protests the police command in Ondo said its officers have been drafted to the scene to maintain peace.
Instances of robbery attacks in academic neighborhoods have become a source of frustration to stakeholders in the education system.
Two months ago, academic activities were suspended over robbery attacks at the Gateway Polytechnic Sapade Ogun state over attacks by robbers.
