The Arsenal football team has felicitated with Muslims faithful across the world over the commencement of the holy month of fasting and prayer.
The football club on its verified Twitter handle wished Muslims all over the world a blessed Ramadan.
Arsenal also in its Ramadan message, reminded everyone especially Muslims who will be observing prayers in congregation to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols.
He said, “We wish you a blessed #Ramadan from all of us here at Arsenal.
The Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil, on his Twitter handle also shared Ramadan wishes with Muslims in the world.
“Ramadan Mubarak to all my Muslim brothers and sisters around the world,” he said.
The month of Ramadan is for spiritual perseverance, temperance, introspection, and retrospection with the Almighty Allah.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and the month in which the Quran was revealed.
Fasting during the month of Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam.
